Quthing, Jan. 09 — The Prime Minister, Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane will lead the district cleaning campaign in Quthing town, Moyeni on Friday this week.
This will be the first time Mr. Matekane who is also the Minister of Defense, National Security and Environment leads the district cleaning campaign since Lesotho launched the national campaign ‘Operation Hloekisa Lesotho’ with the aim to inspire the spirit of voluntary maintenance of clean environment in towns, commercial areas and villages.
In an Interview with the Agency the Acting Quthing District Administration Manager Assessment, Mr. Moses Mokati said the cleaning campaign will be carried in response to the Prime Minister’s call during his national address at a national launch of ‘Operation Hloekisa Lesotho’ national campaign held in Maseru last year where he appealed that cleaning campaigns led by Ministers be carried out monthly in the districts.
