PUBLIC HEARING, SITE INSPECTION SET FOR MAKHAOLA LEROTHOLI HIGHWAY

Qacha’s Nek, May.14  — A joint delegation from the Portfolio Committee on Natural Resources, Tourism and Land Cluster, along with officials from the Ministries of Public Works and Transport, and Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture, is set to conduct a public hearing and site inspection on May 15–16 for communities affected by the construction of the Mpiti–Sehlabathebe road, officially named Makhaola Lerotholi Highway.

This was announced by District Administrator (DA) Mr. Habofanoe Pheku during the monthly Heads of Departments (HODs) meeting, which was rescheduled to accommodate the high-level visit.

The hearings will take place in Ha-Ramats’eliso and Ha-Matlali, while a site inspection of the Sehlabathebe National Park is also planned. Mr. Pheku extended an invitation to all HODs to actively participate. . . .
