PUBLIC SERVICE LAUNCHES DISTRICT CONSULTATIONS

Qacha’s Nek, Sept. 30 — The Ministry of Public Service on Tuesday hosted its first-ever district-level stakeholder engagement with public servants in Qacha’s Nek.

The one-day event forms part of the ministry’s broader strategic plan aimed at improving governance and administration through enhanced stakeholder engagement by 2028.

Discussions centered on pressing public service issues, including processing of terminal benefits and other HR related issues, organisational development, remuneration and benefits, training and development, and the Public Service (Amendment) Act Bill 2025.

Speaking at the event, Principal Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. ’Makhoabane Ledimo, said the initiative stems from the realization that policymaking has historically excluded district-level voices.
