Quthing, Feb 16 — The Minister of Social Development, Gender, Youth and Sports Mr. Lesaoana Pitso says the Sebabatso youth empowerment initiative has been established by the Lesotho’s Prime Minister to ensure sustainable support of Basotho youth in business development to attain self reliance and economic development.
Speaking at a two-day district roadshow held to sensitise Quthing youth to take the opportunity of the Sebabatso youth initiative, Mr. Lesaoana encouraged the youth to grasp this opportunity of the fist of its kind to grow and expand up to international level in response to their common challenge of lack of jobs since through their positive response to Sebabatso lack of jobs for different public groups of Basotho could be story of the past.
He pointed out that it is only through Sebabatso they could easily get an opportunity to get local and international market opportunities, adding that Sebabatso is a legacy where every young Mosotho is empowered, every innovation is recognised, and every dream in business is realised and supported to become true.
He further encouraged youth in the district to take advantage of Sebabatso for improvement of their lives economically and the Quthing community since no one would come from anywhere to positively respond to the felt need of the local community.
