Qacha’sNek, Sept. 15 — Qacha’s Nek’s own innovator, fashion designer Refiloe Motonosi from Thifa has secured a coveted spot among the Top 34 candidates in the prestigious Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) 2025 Bootcamp held in Berea from September 7–14.
She will now present her idea to potential investors and stakeholders at the Sebabatso Conference, which started today in Maseru, where the ultimate winners will be crowned.
Out of 200 innovators, the STEAM shortlist was initially limited to 30 finalists but grew to 34 after a tie, bringing the total number of competitors at Sebabatso to 64.
For Motonosi, the selection was both humbling and overwhelming.
“I felt a deep sense of pride, especially knowing how much effort I put into my idea. It affirmed that my voice and creativity matter. Right now, I feel more determined than ever to keep pushing forward,” she told the Agency.
