ROAD USERS ENCOURAGED TO STAY VIGILANT

Berea, Nov. 23 — Berea Police has encouraged road users to always prioritize passengers safety and stay vigilant while taking journeys during the rainy weather season.

This emerged during the Berea Disaster Management Team (DDMT) public awareness campaign on climate change staged for Pulane, Ha Mosiuoa community.

The DDMT campaign to raise public awareness follows an early warning issued by the Lesotho Meteorological Services (LMS) forecast whereby it predicted that for the period of November 2024 to January 2025 it is going to be dominated by above normal rainfalls.

When addressing Pulane community from Child and Gender Protection Unit (CGPU) Women Police Constable (WPC) Masekoele Mosenye said with anticipated rains, road users are advised to avoid taking unnecessary risks of crossing overflowing rivers with passengers.
