Maseru, Feb. 14 — It was a fulfilling and exciting day, a memorable one, and full of hope for pupils as Roof of Africa Can-am UB Leisure riders came in rolling 48 soccer balls to Nyakosoba Primary School to celebrate Valentine’s day with pupils.
The event organiser Mr. Altus De Wet said for years, Roof of Africa takes Nyakosoba route and the riders deemed it necessary to give back to the local community and saw it befitting to donate soccer balls to the children.
He said this was the only school they selected this year but the plan is to give back to the community every year after the race.
The school Principal, Mrs. ‘Masents’o Sents’o commented that she was amazed and grateful for the love shown to the children.
