Maseru, Marc. 01 — As part of the commemoration of Moshoeshoe’s Day, Advocates for the Supremacy of the Constitution (SECTION 2) announces plans to honor young Basotho leaders through the publication of their biographies.
In an exclusive interview with the Secretary General, Mr. Tjatjapa Sebaki for SECTION 2, it was revealed that these biographies will highlight the remarkable achievements of Basotho youth across various fields such as entrepreneurship, arts and entertainment, civil society, health, technology and innovation as well as sports.
Mr. Sebaki indicated that beyond showcasing individual dedication and accomplishments, these biographies aim to inspire future generations to uphold values of leadership, integrity and resilience embodied by King Moshoeshoe I.
He stressed the importance of celebrating the vibrant spirit of youth leadership and excellence in today’s society.
The publication initiative is open to all young Basotho who wish to share their achievements, contributions, and aspirations, aiming to provide a platform for recognition and inspiration.
March 11, marks Moshoeshoe’s Day, an annual national holiday in Lesotho, commemorating the date of Moshoeshoe’s passing.
Festivities include laying wreaths at Moshoeshoe’s grave at Thaba Bosiu, led by Lesotho’s monarch, as well as a celebratory parade and various entertainment activities.
