Qacha’s Nek, Oct. 05 — Sehlabathebe Water Lilies (females) and Qacha’s Nek LMPS (males) were crowned champions of the Milo Classic Soccer Tournament held over the weekend at Melele Ground.
The tournament was organised by GivingTuesday Lesotho in collaboration with Milo Music Entertainment, where sport, music, and impact united to raise awareness on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and other social issues, while celebrating youth talent and resilience.
The event brought together local teams to compete in spirited matches that combined athleticism with community education.
Sehlabathebe Water Lilies secured a 3-0 victory over the Mighty Blessed Ladies in the women’s final, walking away with gold medals, a trophy, a ball, and a M1,000 cash prize. In the men’s category, Qacha’s Nek LMPS drew 1-1 with Sekake Stars in regular time but triumphed in a penalty shootout. The team received a net, full jersey kit, ball, trophy, and gold medals.
