SENATE FAILS TO HONOUR AGREEMENT

Maseru, Oct.14 –The National University of Lesotho (NUL) Senate has failed to honour pledge it made to fast track the process of students’ registration and submission of supplementary results and academic registration list to the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS) by Wednesday latest by Friday this week. The Agency has learned.

The agreement was made as a strategy to address the critical issues that led to the strike of the NUL students on Monday this week.

Among the eight grievances by the students, they demanded that academic registration be in effect and done with immediate effect as there is evidence of students not being registered to this day together with all first-year students not being registered. Also, that all supplementary results be sent to NMDS with immediate effect so that students can contract to the secretariat in both main campus and IEMS campus.
