Maseru, Oct. 14 – King Letsie III left the country on Saturday (today) for Rome, Italy to attend a five-day World Food Forum to be held at the Headquarters of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
Speaking in an interview with the Agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mpotjoane Lejone said the King is expected to deliver a keynote speech as Nutrition Champion at the Forum whose theme is “ Agrifood systems transformation accelerates climate action”.
He also expressed hope that after the forum, FAO will support the country in the area of Agriculture.
Meanwhile the event aims to facilitate dialogues and debates among a wide range of stakeholders, including young individuals, farmers, indigenous peoples, policymakers, agri-investors, and scientists from all around the world.
