SENATORS SENSITISED ON 10TH AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION BILL

Maseru, Nov. 06 — The Ministry of Law and Justice with the coordination of the National Reforms Transitional office held a one day sensitisation workshop for the members of Senate on the 10th Amendment to the Constitution Bill 2024 in Maseru on Wednesday.

In his remarks, the Minister of Law and Justice, Mr. Richard Ramoeletsi said that this workshop comes in as a way of engaging the members of the Senate in the 10th Amendment to the constitution Bill and also to give the senators an opportunity to give out their input towards the amendments.

He indicated that most of the bills go straight to the Senate after being scrutinized at the National Assembly but this time around the Senators are given an opportunity to scrutinize the bill before it is read in the Senate.

Mr. Ramoeletsi however mentioned that this workshop will enable broader input towards the implementation of the national reforms.
