SENQUNYANE COMMUNITY HUNT FOR A DOWNED PERSON 

Berea, Jan 17 — Senqunyane community said search operation for a missing person’s body who got swept downstream by an overflowing Patisi river is still continuing. 

This was said by Senqunyane Community Councillor Mr. Matee Thamae during an interview with LENA on Friday. 

Mr. Thamae said the incident happened earlier this week during the heavy rains events and it is alleged that the victim who is likely to be aged 14 years was trying to cross from Ha-Sekolopata to Ha-Kokolia. 

He stressed that another drowning was recorded at their neighbouring place of Mants’onyane, but the deceased body was recovered quickly. . .
