Maseru, Oct. 21 — The Socialist Revolutionaries (SR) has approached the High Court to stop the imminent swearing in of a person on the party’s Proportional Representative (PR) list submitted to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC).
This follows the unexpected resignation of SR’s member Advocate ‘Mamarame Matela as the party’s Member of Parliament with immediate effect in the National Assembly on Friday.
SR Spokesperson, Mr. Phakiso Moleko told the Agency on Saturday that the party has resolved to challenge the gentleman’s agreement that was signed prior to the October 07, 2022 general elections between SR and Movement for Economic Change (MEC).
