Mokhotlong Feb. 23 — The SUNJV construction company workers have been asked to return to work this coming Monday to continue with operations while agreements are still being processed by their employer and Lesotho Workers Association (LEWA).
SUNJV is one of the construction companies engaged by the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) to construct the Polihali wall dam in Mokhotlong as part of the major works under the implementation of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP) II.
The request was made by the Chairperson of Parliament Committee on Natural Resources Mr. Moeketsi Mots’oane who addressed the workers after a meeting that took place at Malingoaneng in Mokhotlong on Friday.
The meeting was hosted by the Natural Resources Committee to advice on the way forward after the workers through their association presented grievances and the employer giving the side of story regarding the steps taken to address some of the workers demands.
