Maseru, Oct. 01 –The Minister of Public Works and Transport Mr. Matjato Moteane says the Traffic Commissioner Dr. Khothaso Ts’ooana, is still in office and serving at the said occupation.
This he said in an interview with the Agency, following reports trending on social media indicating that Dr. Ts’ooana has left the Ministry and no longer serves as the Traffic Commissioner.
He clarified that if Dr. Ts’ooana may wish to serve at other government Ministries, he will go through the Ministry of Public Service.
Asked if he was aware that some members of the public were bothered by this rumours, claiming they have seen an improvement in service delivery within the department, Mr. Moteane commended the Commissioner for that but clarified that the Ministry commenced the journey of improving services within traffic department with the entire staff, not only the Minister or Commissioner.
He added that to ensure this remains sustainable, the Commissioner presents a report to the Principal Secretary on a weekly basis.
However the Agency has learnt that the Commissioner was absent during the launch of the long awaited personalised number plates at the Traffic Department based at Ha Foso on Wednesday.
