MASERU – The Ultimate Radio celebrated Basotho New Year at an event held at LNBS premises on Friday.
Speaking at this event on behalf of the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI), Mr. Dyke Sehloho said the moon and the stars indicate the end of winter hence Basotho New Year.
“This is the time to celebrate and start preparing for agricultural production, we build peace and believe the year will bring us prosperity”.
He congratulated the Ultimate radio for having found it befitting to celebrate this day, rethink and plan fully throughout the year for promotion of humanity in the country.
Similarly, Mrs. ‘Mapitso Sekete-Ts’iu indicated today’s event is part of bringing the radio to the people as well as promote Basotho culture hence their dressing. . .
