Qacha’s Nek, Mar.15 — The Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development (MGYSD) officials from child welfare, elderly care and disability departments in Qacha’s Nek unpacked disability grants to villagers through a public gathering held at Makhaola woolshed on Friday.
Ms. Nts’ebo Mopeli, MGYSD Child Welfare Officer said the Department of Social Development is mandated to protect vulnerable groups such as children, elderly and people living with disabilities.
She revealed that the launching of the Disability Grant came after the signing of the United Union Convention on the Rights of Person with Disabilities (UNCRPD). . .
