Mafeteng, Jan.10 — World Vision Lesotho will hand over its offices located at Sekameng to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition, Lesotho Mounted Police Service and members of the community at the ceremony to be held in the area on Friday this week.
In an interview with the MARO Cluster Mr. Kabelo Motloi said the initiative followed 25 years of operation in the area whereby the organisation was engaged in livelihoods, resilience projects in promotion of self-reliance while at the same time ensuring welfare of young children.
He highlighted that since its inception in 1998 the programme has benefited 3900 children through providing them with education and empowering them through their households in agriculture, adding that the programme has also constructed water systems through Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Project (WASH) benefiting 26 schools in the area including both primary and high schools as well as residents where the programme was operating.
