BIG CHEER FOR THE GIRL CHILD

Qacha’s Nek, Jan.30 — In promotion of good menstrual management, Lesotho Planned Parenthood Association (LPPA) has today distributed sanitary towels and hygiene kits to 62 Patlong and Letsoha primary schools pupils.

The gifts, according to LPPA Programs Director, Ms. ‘Majane Morake forms part of their social responsibility meant to assist vulnerable girls.

Speaking to the Agency, she said each girl is expected to spend two months with her packet, after which a year distribution will be done by schools.

“We believe provision of sanitary wear will help curb absenteeism from school by girls during menstruation and restore their dignity,” she said. . .
