Mafeteng, July 30—Climate Change has brought several challenges in livelihood of Basotho affecting livestock, plants, degradation of environment.
This is transpired at the Early Warning public gathering held at Ha Ramarothole on Tuesday where Mr. Nika Phela from the Lesotho Electricity Generation Company said such has brought uncontrollable hunger, poverty and thirst.
Mr. Phela said with or without climate change members of the community need to fight desertification as another way of controlling soil erosion as the country is losing its fertile soil due to drought, saying the country currently receives rainfall in the most irregular way occurring before or after planting season thus affecting food production negatively. . .
