Quthing, Sept 15 — The office of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is currently engaged in a series of trainings of Presiding Officers in different community councils in the district until Sunday this week
In an interview the IEC Voter Education Assistant Mrs. ‘Mathapelo Malela said the trainings are part of activities to prepare for Local Government (LG) elections scheduled for September 29th.
She said the training among other topics cover roles, rights and responsibilities of Returning Officers (RO) and of Assistant Returning Officers (ARO) responsibilities of Presiding officers, advance voting, normal voting, code of conduct, filling of announcement of elections results, and filling Diary.
