KHETHENG MURDER TRIAL MOVES TO MAY

Maseru, Apr. 11 — A case in which four police officers are charged with the murder of their colleague, Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng, has been postponed to  May 06, 2025 for continuation.

This was after one of the state witnesses, Sello Tulo who gave evidence implicating one of the accused in the matter, completed his testimony.

The witness has testified that on a day he and another suspect were arrested from his village at Ha Khabo by the Leribe police, the police picked Khetheng at Sebothoane and put him at the rear part of the police vehicle with them. He indicated that Khetheng remarked that the police were going to kill him.

He further testified that when they got to the Hlotse Police Station he and the other suspect were taken into police cells. He added that he was released after a week following which one of the accused Inspector Mothibeli  Mofolo came to his home and asked him to change his statement. SM/TL
