LCA UNPACKS POSTAL COURIER SERVICES DRAFT FOR LIOLI

Berea, March 13 — In an effort to the get the inputs of Lioli people regarding the draft of the Postal and Courier Services Rules, 2023, Lesotho Communication Authority (LCA) has led the public consultation with Berea community stakeholders during a meeting staged at Blue Mountain Inn hotel on Wednesday. 

Addressing the community stakeholders, LCA Regulatory Affairs Officer Mr. Maama Maama said although some people may undervalue the postal and courier services, they still play a crucial role in our modern world, but they need to be legally regulated, hence the initiative of public consultations as to get the views of people over the Postal and Courier Services Rules 2023. 

Mr. Maama said the primary objective of the Rules is to ensure the existence of financially sustainable universal postal services that are economically viable and establish mechanisms of safeguarding the continuity of the service. . .
