Maseru, Sept. 26 — The Ministry of Health (MOH) in collaboration with ICAP Global Health and Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) held a meeting about recency testing report dissemination in Maseru on Friday.
During the meeting, Mrs. Mphotleng Tlhomola from the Ministry of Health said the objectives of this meeting are the recency surveillance, what it entails, the results, and real-time monitoring of recent HIV infections.
She mentioned that it is also to discuss how the recent data will target public health responses to sub-populations and locations where high levels of transmission may be occurring.
Mrs. Tlhomola highlighted that the project gains include data-use workshops which are impacted by enhancing analytical capacity at national and subnational levels, and strengthening data-driven programmatic actions.
