Maseru, Feb.07 — The peaceful march by the National University of Lesotho (NUL) students which was supposed to be today (Friday) has been cancelled.
NUL Students Representative Council (SRC) President Tumo Tsanyane said that the police changed the route they had been given by the Maseru City Council to one from Sethaleng Ha-Thetsane to the National Assembly saying that the time given now as well is very sensitive as it is only two hours (9-11am).

Mr. Tsanyane said that it is going to be impossible to walk up the slope in two hours and disperse immediately saying this means that if they spend any time beyond 11am which he said it is exactly what is going to happen because they cannot make it up there within that short time. He said that this will expose them to an illegal march after those prescribed hours which indeed will cause unnecessary harassment and disperse . . .
