Maseru, Feb. 07 – In a significant effort to enhance educational conditions for children in disaster-prone regions, World Vision Lesotho has launched a renovation initiative under the ECHO-funded Child-Safe Disaster Risk Reduction (CSDRR) project.
According to World Vision’s Communications and Marketing Manager Ms Lerato Brown this initiative aims to provide conducive learning environments at Vuka Mosotho, Nyai, and Poso Primary Schools, located in the districts of Leribe, Thaba-Tseka, and Mokhotlong.
The renovations, which are currently underway, are a part of World Vision’s commitment to ensuring that education is recognized as a fundamental right for every child, rather than a privilege. “Our goal is to create safe and supportive schools that foster learning and growth for all children,” said Ms. Brown.

Collaboration with various stakeholders, including the private sector, has been instrumental in the success of this initiative. Utilizing World Vision’s Citizen Voice and Action advocacy model, the organization is mobilizing communities and partners to contribute resources and support towards building safer educational facilities. . .
