MRTO, PUBLIC WORKS AT LOGGERHEADS

Maseru, Mar.12 —  Taxi Operators say they are surprised that the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has decided to implement the amendment of the D-permit from March 22 yet they are still in negotiations.

The amendment of D-permit will allow the 4+1 taxis to ferry passengers beyond 10 Kilometres area but within Maseru City Council boundaries.

According to Maseru Region Transport Operators (MRTO) Public Relations Officer Mr. Lebohang Moea, both taxi operators and the Ministry are still in negotiations and are yet to meet on Tuesday to map the way forward regarding the amendment of the D-permit…
