CHILD LABOUR, FORCED LABOR REMAINS CHALLENGE

Maseru, July. 21 — World Vision Lesotho (WVL) recently held a two-day training for journalists to advocate for the elimination of child labor in Lesotho.

The training is part of the organisation’s efforts to accelerate action against child labor and forced labor in the country.

According to Mrs. Mathabang Kose from WVL, the organisation has piloted a program targeting five districts, with the aim of referring at least 300 child labor victims to state social programs and non-state services.

Despite efforts, child labor remains a significant challenge, with 16 cases reported since the project’s inception, five of which were confirmed. . .
