Thaba Tseka, Oct. 16 — Anthrax has been confirmed as the cause of the illness that affected Ha Monyollo Community over the weekend.
This was stated in an interview with the Agency by the Paray Hospital Public Relations Officer Mr. Vuyani Dlakavu on Thursday.
According to Mr. Dlakavu the hospital collected the stool samples on Thursday morning to the National Referral Laboratory, which confirmed Anthrax in the samples of the patients referred.
He said they received eight referrals from St. Theresa Mashai Health Centre on Wednesday, adding that among those were 4 boys and 4 male adults.
