COURT TO VISIT CRIME SCENE

Mohale’s Hoek, April.22— As an initiative to secure more evidence in the alleged rape case of a 10 year old girl with speech impairement,  prosecution will on April, 23, visit the crime scene in Mpharane to assist trigger the victim’s memory, while getting a clear picture of what  transpired. 

This was ordered by Magistrate ‘Marethabile Rantja after the victim who is also reported to have a mild mental disability identified the suspect, then demonstrated to the court how the incident happened, using a male doll.

The perpetrator in this case is a 40 year old Richard Mahloko, who had been released on M800.00 bail and a surety of M5000.00,  on condition that he relocates to another village, following a plea made by the victim’s mother, who stated that the latter would not longer feel safe to play with other children, if the suspect goes back to the village.
