Maseru, Aug. 08 — The government of Lesotho has appointed Mr. Thabo Sekonyela as the new Government Spokesperson and Mr. Khosi Makubakube as the Coordinator Parliamentary affairs with effect from August 01.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency On Monday, the Director Public Relations at the Prime Minister’s Office, Ms. Refiloe Kepa indicated that the Government Spokesperson is responsible for communicating government policies, programmes and initiatives to the public through media channels.
She stated that the role requires the individual to at all times represent the Government in a positive and professional manner to the media and the public.
