JUDGMENT REMAINS PENDING

Maseru, July 25 — Following hearing of arguments on an application for recusal on June 08, 2023 in a case in which some Principal Secretaries (PS) are challenging termination of their employment, judgment which was set to be delivered three weeks after the hearing, remains pending.

The applicants have applied for recusal of presiding judge in the matter Justice Keketso Moahloli after they had formed a presumption of lack of impartiality on the part of the judge.

The application was brought after the judge dismissed their application in which they sought leave to appeal and ordered that merits of the case be argued.  The application for leave to appeal was made after the court made a ruling on May 05, 2023 admitting an affidavit by the Minister of Public Service Mr. Richard Ramoeletsi following which the applicants noted an appeal. They argued that the affidavit should not be admitted.
