Maseru, Oct. 24 — The House of the Senate has taken a short break to allow members to attend and support Government initiatives to handover motor vehicles to Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) and launch a Youth Empowerment Programme named Sebabatso.
The Leader of the House Mr. Matjato Motjeane stood up to propose the motion that the house go for a short break, he said this is done to allow members to take part on issues that concern development of the country.
Mr. Moteane indicated that both the initiatives are important in a sense that the 79 motor vehicles to be presented to LMPS will ease their job, while Sebabatso is expected to respond to some of the youth challenges that include amongst others high unemployment rate.
