ST. AGNES URGED TO EMBRACE BASOTHO CULTURE

Berea, Sept. 20 — St. Agnes High School Principal Mrs. Mamosa Rankhethoa has encouraged students to embrace Basotho culture so that they can easily identify themselves from other nations.

Mrs. Rankhethoa made the remarks on Friday whereby St. Agnes High School students showcased a diverse range of traditional songs and games in celebration of Basotho culture.

She said they are overwhelmed by their Sesotho Department for pursuing cultural celebration and making it a success, adding that such initiative plays a significant role in helping their students where they come from as a nation and also to shape the future of children.

St. Agnes Principal stressed that lately many things have changed such as failure to wear traditional clothing, therefore Basotho are only remaining with Sesotho as their mother tongue language, hence the importance to embrace our culture.
