Berea, Jan 22 — As waste management continues to be a pressing issue in communities, some Teyateyaneng youths under the name, “Bach ba Apollo” have recycled the plastic bottles to convert them into a greenhouse in order to support crop production.
Speaking to the Agency on Wednesday, one of Bacha ba Apollo greenhouse project pioneers, Mr. Kamohelo Thokoane said they are passionate about agriculture, but for a long time the impact of climate change has been suppressing most of their efforts to produce crops.

Mr. Thokoane further said it came to their attention that their places are filled with the single use plastic bottles of which generate a lot of waste which constitute to environmental pollution and as a result they saw a need to unite as youths in order to develop a sustainable solution to such problems.
He reiterated that collecting the single use bottles, turned out to be one of the environmental pollution mitigation strategies which they adopted with the aim to reuse them for construction of the greenhouse structure. . .
