ASSOCIATION INTRODUCES PLATFORM FOR THE DEAF

MASERU – The National Association of the Deaf  Lesotho (NADL) has introduced a social media platform to ease communication amongst the deaf.

This comes after sign language for the deaf has been accepted as an official language locally,  NADL Sign Language Interpreter, Ms. Mary Mojaje told the Agency in an interview.

According to Ms. Mojaje, the social media broadcast platform will go a long way in bridging the communication gap between the deaf and the hearing.

She added that language barrier has always been a matter of concern with the deaf,  indicating it is through this platform known as Basotho Deaf TV (BDTV) and run by one of their own,  Letsekha Ntlale that communication will be eased… AM/BM
