CHIEF EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER CRIME IN MOTENG

Botha-Bothe, Nov. 06 — Chief Sakia Lepolesa of ‘Moteng has voiced concern over criminal behavior among some community members, revealing that theft from loaded trucks passing through local villages has come to his attention.

Superintendent Lebona Mohloboli, however, noted that the police have not received any official reports regarding these incidents, though he has heard about them informally.

Chief Sakia cited evidence of the thefts, stating that torn cement bags have been seen discarded along the road, indicating that stolen goods are being tampered with nearby.

“These acts are disgraceful, as community members know who is responsible but fail to report them,” he said. “I strongly condemn these actions, as they tarnish the reputation of our villages. I urge parents to speak to and discipline their children because, once the police get involved, some may suffer the consequences of bad behavior.”
