FLOTILLA DETAINEES DEPORTED BACK HOME

Maseru, Oct. 08 — Six South African activists that were detained by Israel have been deported back into their home country on Wednesday.

Mandla Mandela, Carrie Shelves, Zukiswa Wanner, Zaheera Soomar, Dr. Fatima Hendricks and Reaz Moola were detained by the Israel troops when attempting to establish a humanitarian corridor to break the siege of Gaza.

The six activists were delivering water, food, and medicine to the vulnerable and children when they were intercepted by Israeli forces last week.

The group which arrived and spent Tuesday night in Jordan, were welcomed on Wednesday morning at OR Tambo International Airport.

The Flotilla detainees claim to have been mistreated and humiliated when in detention, while Israel denies the claims. . . .
