FNCO HOLDS STAKEHOLDER MEETING

Botha-Bothe, Aug. 12 — Lesotho’s stunting rate, which currently stands at 36 percent, has prompted the Food and Nutrition Coordinating Office (FNCO) to convene a three-day stakeholder meeting aimed at strengthening coordination and collaboration in the fight against malnutrition.

According to Regional Coordinator for the Southern Region, Mrs. Mathapelo Sethunya, the meeting seeks to sensitize and disseminate key national food and nutrition policy documents to stakeholders.

Mrs Sethunya indicated that the meeting is also meant to empower heads of departments and nutrition teams with information for improved implementation of nutrition interventions. It will also strengthen coordination and collaboration among stakeholders to enhance nutrition services… MM/BM
