MINISTER VISITS MAKOINI PRIMARY SCHOOL

Botha-Bothe, July 23 — The Minister of Education and Training, Professor Ntoi Rapapa, visited Makoini Primary School in Botha-Bothe to inspect the damages caused to the school’s classrooms, which were blown away by the wind.

In an interview with the Agency, the Chairperson of the School Board, Mr. Tambo Scaff, explained that the four-classroom building was destroyed by strong winds in 2012, and the school has been unable to repair the damages since. This has led to congestion in the remaining classrooms, forcing some classes to share a single room. To alleviate this issue, they have even built a shack that they hope to use as a classroom after the winter holidays.

Mr. Scaff mentioned that one of the individuals they approached for assistance is the Member of Parliament for Qalo No. 4, Mr. Dada Jooma. . .
