NUTRITIONISTS TO ACQUIRE SKILLS ON NEW FOOD PRESERVATION TECHNOLOGY

Quthing, Jan. 15 — Nutrition Area Technical Officers from Agricultural Resources Centers in Quthing will undergo a five-day training on new food preservation technology to be held at Mphaki Farmers Training Centre from Monday next week.

In an interview with the Agency, the District Nutrition Officer from Department of Agriculture, Nutrition and Food Security, Mrs. ‘Makabelo Mokhesuoe said the training is intended to equip participants with new food preservation technology as well as to impart skills to be acquired to various nutrition teams established by Nutrition division at different villages in resource centers.

She stated that the training will among others focus on importance of food preservation, different technology of food preservation that include cooking and drying, various methods of cooking recipes with the aim to preserve food for families to maintain proper nutrition and for sale to generate income.
