MOLENGOANE AWAITS DEPORTATION FROM SA

Maseru, Jan 18 – One of the six inmates who had escaped from the Maseru Central Correctional Institution on December 21 last year is still awaiting trial in Bloemfontein, South Africa after he was arrested earlier this month.

Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) Paralegal Chief Officer Bokang Ramotena told the Agency on Thursday that Bokang Molengoane was traced in Bloemfontein South Africa after escaping in the Maseru Central Correctional Institution.

She said Molengoane was reportedly staying with his sister in Bloemfontein when he was rearrested.

However, the Chief Officer said Molengoane was forced to appear before the Bloemfontein magistrate court where he was charged for going to South Africa without legal documents. . .
